National Black Law Enforcement Organization Supports Nick Mastrogiorgio for City Council
I am deeply honored and humbled to receive the support of Blacks in Law Enforcement of America (BLEA) in my campaign for Mount Vernon City Council. Their endorsement, featured in an article by Black Westchester Magazine, means a great deal to me—not just as a retired police lieutenant, but as someone who believes in truth, accountability, and real community service.
For too long, the people of Mount Vernon have been burdened by political self-interest and decisions that don’t reflect the needs of working families. I’m not a politician—I’m a public servant. And this campaign isn’t about power or prestige—it’s about fighting for a better future for the city we love.
BLEA’s support reinforces that our message is resonating. I’ve always believed that fair and honest law enforcement must go hand in hand with justice, transparency, and respect for the community. I'm proud to stand with those who share that belief.
Thank you to Damon Jones, AJ Woodson, and the entire Black Westchester team for telling my story with honesty and clarity. Please take a moment to read the article and learn more about why I’m running and what I stand for:
